Rahul Gandhi launched the Satyagraha portal on Oct. 3, announcing it would map citizens’ complaints and help the opposition target grievances nationwide. He told reporters that the portal would bring together issues raised by people, social groups, and NGOs onto a single map, making it easier for the Congress to engage.
Uttar Pradesh tops the list with 6,244 entries, followed by Karnataka’s 4,351, Maharashtra’s 3,528 and Bihar’s 2,970. Together, the six most active states—UP, KA, MH, BI, MP, and RJ—account for more than 30% of all complaints.
Education remains the single biggest concern, with 6,210 submissions, while corruption follows closely at 5,822. Caste discrimination, healthcare, and labour rights trail in the top five, and farmer issues register 1,834 complaints.
The data arrives just weeks before Congress’s planned rally at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan on Nov. 1. Rahul said the portal’s database will help shape the protest’s themes, ensuring the march addresses the issues that citizens are most vocal about.
A farmer from Azamgarh, who filed a land‑rights complaint on the portal, told the press that his case is still pending with the local authorities. He said the platform gives him a voice that otherwise would have gone unheard.
