Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal held meetings with luxury company LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE and beauty giant L’Oreal Groupe, focusing on growing manufacturing, exports, and investment in India.
In his meeting with Vincent Astoux, International Relations Director of LVMH, Goyal discussed expanding manufacturing in India to increase exports, investing in local talent, and promoting Indian culture through future partnerships.
Goyal also held discussions with L’Oreal Groupe on increasing sourcing, manufacturing, and exports from India, while exploring new opportunities for the country’s beauty and personal care sector.
The government continues to push India as a global manufacturing and export hub across sectors, including beauty and personal care, with L’Oreal recently launching the world's largest Beauty Tech Global Capacity Centre in Hyderabad.
The minister's meetings are part of a wider effort to bring Indian skills and cultural heritage into the global luxury supply chain, with the next steps expected to involve further discussions on implementing the proposed partnerships and investments.
