According to Groww’s filing with SEBI, net profit rose 53.9% YoY to ₹725.7 cr, revenue from operations jumped 47.4% YoY to ₹1.5015 cr, and shares dipped 1.3% in early trading, mirroring the quarterly decline from ₹735.04 cr. EBITDA edged up to ₹963.8 cr, keeping the margin steady at 64.2%.
Analysts had priced in a 58% YoY rise in net profit and a 48% jump in revenue; Groww beat those expectations by a modest margin. Total income fell slightly to ₹1.5405 cr from ₹1.5487 cr in Q1, while profit before tax slipped to ₹983.9 cr from ₹992.3 cr.
Groww said equity derivatives revenue slid 14.3% QoQ to ₹687.5 cr, a drop traced to SEBI’s new Closing Auction System introduced on 3 Aug 2026. The shift to a 20‑minute auction disrupted price discovery, echoing a broader industry decline in trading volumes.
In contrast, margin trading (MTF) and commodity derivatives saw revenue share rises, moving from 8% to 10% and 5% to 6% respectively. New transacting users added 11 lakh in Q2, taking the total to 2.4 cr, a 27% YoY increase, while customer assets climbed 46% YoY to ₹3.9 trn.
Growth plans were outlined in the company’s board memo: expanding less‑penetrated products and anticipating that delinking CAS from settlement prices could normalize volumes. Investors will watch the July filing for guidance on margin expansion and potential fee adjustments.
