Singhania told NDTV that the Iran war does not weigh heavily on the company, but tariff volatility could derail U.S. supply chains. He added that India’s 33 free‑trade agreements give it a buffer against global headwinds, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies for this resilience.
During a prior interview in the pandemic, Singhania noted that employees staying home were still buying Raymond apparel, highlighting the resilience of domestic demand. He said the company’s 85% sales from within India helped it weather the crisis.
Looking ahead, Singhania said Raymond will tap European markets and reduce reliance on U.S. supply chains as tariffs fluctuate, anticipating a "new world order" in trade relations.
The company plans to launch a refreshed denim line next quarter, targeting the European market to offset the U.S. uncertainty.
