The Telangana government has decided to extend working hours at 15 heavily-crowded Sub-Registrar offices from May 12 to 15, according to Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. The offices, including those in Champapet, Saroornagar, and Vanasthalipuram, will operate from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. to handle the increased registrations resulting from the state's revision of land values.
The extended hours are intended to prevent inconvenience to the public and may be further extended if necessary, depending on the volume of registrations. Minister Reddy has also instructed officials to increase slot bookings and identify other Sub-Registrar offices requiring extended hours.
Authorities have been directed to coordinate with Tahsildar offices to ensure seamless services for agricultural land registrations. The Registration Department IG, Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu, has been instructed to maintain transparency, efficiency, and public convenience in the registration process.
The government's decision is in response to the increased demand for registrations following the revision of land values across Telangana. The extended working hours will commence on May 12 and continue until May 15, with the possibility of further extension based on public demand.
The court or relevant authorities are not involved in this decision, but the government will continue to monitor the situation and adjust the working hours as needed. The public can expect improved services and reduced wait times at the select Sub-Registrar offices during the specified period.
