A couple was arrested in Katpadi, Vellore, after police seized approximately 40 kilograms of gutka from their home and shop. The contraband was allegedly sourced from Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, for illicit retail sale.

Police in Vellore arrested a couple, identified as K. Nagaraj, 48, and N. Mahalakshmi, 45, following the seizure of around 40 kilograms of gutka during a raid near Katpadi on Saturday. The operation, conducted by a special team under the directives of N.U. Sivaraman, Superintendent of Police (Vellore), targeted petty shops near the new bus terminus on NH-48.
