Suzlon Energy’s shares slipped 1.4% to ₹36.79 after it cut its FY EBITDA margin guidance to 15%± from 17%± during the post‑market call.
In the September quarter, WTG contribution margins fell to 21.2% from 26.9% a year earlier, blamed on non‑recurring operating expenses, a shift in product mix and a 50‑basis‑point hit from currency and commodity swings.
Management now expects full‑year WTG contribution margins between 22% and 23%, signalling a normalisation once external headwinds abate.
Revenue grew 26% YoY, yet net profit plunged 69%, largely because the prior quarter had an exceptional gain that inflated its base.
Operating earnings—EBITDA—remained flat at ₹713 cr, with margin tightening to 14.7% from 18.7% a year earlier.
Despite the muted performance, 10 of 11 analysts keep "Buy" ratings, with price targets ranging from ₹55 to ₹58, implying a 56% upside; the company still aims for a 40% market share by 2035 as India targets 15 GW of wind capacity.
Suzlon will report the fourth‑quarter results on Nov. 15, and investors will be watching for any shift in its capital‑expenditure plans.
