BMW M2 xDrive Turbo Edition: 480hp Performance Coupe Launches in India

If you’re eyeing a fresh performance coupe, the BMW M2 xDrive Turbo Edition is now open for pre‑booking across India.

The heart of the coupe is a 3.0‑litre, inline‑six petrol engine that churns out 480 hp and 600 Nm of torque, paired with an 8‑speed M Steptronic and all‑wheel drive. The punchy power plate gives a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 3.7 seconds, while the electronically limited top speed sits at 250 km/h—rising to 285 km/h with the optional M Driver’s Package.

Styling cues are all about heritage and exclusivity. An Alpine White body is accented with hand‑painted BMW Motorsport stripes, a black power dome, a bold ‘Turbo’ emblem under the badge, and rear‑facing turbo lettering on the hood. Carbon‑fibre roof, tailgate and spoiler complete the look, and buyers can opt for 19‑inch front and 20‑inch rear Gold‑Bronze M Performance forged alloy wheels.

Inside, the coupe keeps a high‑performance DNA. Carbon‑fibre trim wraps the dashboard, M Carbon bucket seats hug the driver and passenger, and an M Alcantara steering wheel feels like a natural extension of the cockpit. Even the centre cupholder cover sports a subtle turbo insignia, tying the theme together.

Where does it sit in the market? The M2 xDrive Turbo Edition steps up against the Audi RS3 and Mercedes‑AMG C43, offering a similar horsepower band but with the added all‑wheel‑drive advantage that the standard M2 lacks. While the base M2 is already a premium price point, the limited‑run edition is expected to carry a premium over the standard model, reflecting its exclusive features.

Dealers across India are now taking pre‑orders, and the car is slated for launch later this year—exact dates and pricing are still under wraps. For those ready to lock in a spot, the first‑come, first‑served window means you’ll need to act quickly once the launch calendar is announced.
