AIADMK's Palaniswami Saddened by Stalin's Election Loss
Edappadi K. Palaniswami, general secretary of the AIADMK, has expressed sadness over the defeat of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin in the Kolathur constituency, according to party leader A. Anbalagan. Palaniswami reportedly felt that Stalin, who has been in public service for decades, should not have lost in Kolathur.
Anbalagan, who is the AIADMK Puducherry unit secretary and MLA elect, confirmed that some newly elected legislators from Tamil Nadu are accommodated in a resort in Puducherry on Palaniswami's directions.
The legislators, around 30 in number, are currently staying at the RKN Beach Resort in Pudukuppam, after being moved from The Shore Thrishvam due to advance online bookings.
The immediate next steps for the AIADMK legislators and the party's leadership are not clear, but Anbalagan stated that all elected members are united under Palaniswami's leadership and will follow his decisions. The court is not involved in this matter, but the political developments in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry are expected to continue unfolding in the coming days.
