Director General of Police Harish Kumar Gupta presented the 'Best Recovery' award to Superintendent of Police K. Pratap Shiva Kishore on Friday at the A.P. Police Headquarters for achieving the highest recovery of lost mobile phones in the state and returning them to their owners. The award recognizes the Eluru district police's effective use of technology, including the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR), to trace lost mobile phones.
According to DGP Harish Kumar Gupta, the Eluru district police are at the forefront in using technology to recover lost mobile phones.
Under 'Operation Restore,' lost cell phones are being traced and will be handed over to their owners at their doorstep, said SP K. Pratap Shiva Kishore. He appealed to the public to register complaints at the nearest police station or through the web portal if they lose their mobile phones.
The police will continue to provide services to recover lost mobile phones, and the public is encouraged to make use of these services. The award presentation is expected to boost the police's efforts in using technology to recover lost property and return it to its owners. The police department will likely continue to promote 'Operation Restore' and encourage the public to report lost mobile phones.
