Gujarat Hospital Suicide Reveals Hidden Double Murder

Girish Parmar died by jumping from the fourth floor of a civil hospital in Vadnagar, Gujarat, on Thursday, a death that police initially treated as a suicide.
A handwritten note found after his death alleged that Parmar had killed his wife, Priyanka, and their daughter{,} 6‑year‑old Pari, and buried their bodies inside their family home about six months earlier.
The note prompted investigators to reopen the case of Priyanka and Pari's 2006 disappearance, after the couple had married in 2020 and the family had reported the couple missing.
Police excavated 1.5 metres of earth inside the house and recovered skeletal remains believed to belong to Priyanka and Pari, which were taken to a forensic laboratory for examination.
The investigation is now focused on confirming the identities of the remains, determining the date of death, and identifying any suspects. The case will continue under the jurisdiction of the Vadnagar Police and the Gujarat State Forensic Science Laboratory.
