KIMS to Establish 500-Bed Hospital in Amaravati After Leasing Land from APCRDA

Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) has signed a lease agreement with the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) to establish a 500-bed multi-speciality hospital in Amaravati. The agreement, finalized on May 7, 2026, supports the development of healthcare infrastructure in the state's capital region.
The APCRDA has allotted two acres of land in Nidamarru revenue village, Mangalagiri mandal, on a lease basis for the project. APCRDA Joint Director (Estates) Zubin Chiran Roy formally handed over the agreement to KIMS representatives.
The hospital will be equipped with advanced medical facilities and modern treatment services, aiming to improve access to quality healthcare for Amaravati residents and nearby areas. Officials stated the project will also stimulate medical investment and generate employment opportunities.
APCRDA described the development as a key step in building Amaravati as a 'people’s capital' with world-class infrastructure. The hospital construction is expected to begin shortly, with officials indicating regular progress reviews will be conducted.
