Apollo Hospitals Launches Centre for Venous Disorders in Chennai

Apollo Hospitals has launched a Centre for Venous Disorders at its Greams Road hospital in Chennai, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions such as varicose veins, deep vein thrombosis, venous ulcers, and chronic venous insufficiency, the hospital said in a press release. The center integrates expertise from vascular surgery, radiology, dermatology, and wound care to provide comprehensive, minimally invasive treatments.
Ilankumaran Kaliamoorthy, CEO of Apollo Hospitals, Chennai Region, stated the launch marks significant progress in addressing venous disorders that are often undiagnosed and poorly managed. He emphasized the center's ability to deliver precise, minimally invasive therapies that enable faster patient recovery.
The launch event was attended by vascular surgeons Balaji and Rajarajan Venkatesan, Naveen, CEO of Apollo Hospitals Greams Road, and Dr. Anil DMS, Cluster 1, Chennai. The center will operate as a dedicated unit within the hospital, aiming to improve early detection and treatment outcomes for venous diseases.
The hospital administration said the center will expand patient access to specialized care and strengthen its vascular disease program, with plans to introduce awareness initiatives and screening camps in the coming months.
