CBI Files Chargesheet Against Shubhkamna Buildtech Over Noida Housing Project Fraud

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a chargesheet against Shubhkamna Buildtech Private Limited and its directors in connection with alleged fraudulent activities relating to a housing project in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The CBI probe revealed that the accused builder company and its directors induced innocent homebuyers and investors through false assurances and misleading representations, causing wrongful loss to the victims.
According to the CBI, the chargesheet was filed before the competent court under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code pertaining to criminal conspiracy, cheating, criminal breach of trust, and abetment. The agency is currently investigating 50 cases registered pursuant to the directions of the Supreme Court against various builder companies and unknown officials of financial institutions across the country.
The CBI had earlier filed five chargesheets in similar cases against other builder companies and their directors, including officials of certain banks and financial institutions.
The court will now proceed with the case, with the next steps expected to involve the examination of the chargesheet and the scheduling of hearings. The CBI's action is part of a broader crackdown on alleged cheating and diversion of funds involving homebuyers, with further investigations and legal proceedings anticipated in the coming weeks.
