Sunil Pal Alleges Bias and Editing on The Great Indian Kapil Show

Comedian Sunil Pal has alleged that he was unfairly treated during the filming of an episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, claiming his performance was undermined by selective editing and on-set dynamics. He stated that his prepared 15-minute stand-up segment was not aired and that several of his jokes were removed during post-production.
Pal said he was not informed in advance that Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia would appear on the same episode, despite being told it would feature stand-up comedians. He claimed the atmosphere on set became one-sided, with minimal reaction to his jokes and exaggerated responses to Raina's, comparing his experience to being 'cornered like Abhimanyu' in the Mahabharata.
He questioned the reactions of regular panelists Navjot Singh Sidhu and Archana Puran Singh, noting that Sidhu praised a minor joke by Raina as exceptional, while Archana did not laugh at his material—an absence of reaction he described as suspicious. Pal also said vulgar content was later edited out, but did not clarify who was responsible.
The controversy follows prior public tension between Pal and Raina, stemming from the 2025 backlash against Raina's YouTube show India's Got Latent, which drew legal action and was taken down. Pal had previously called Raina a 'terrorist,' and Raina later mocked him in his special Still Alive.
Pal clarified that his allegations are about the show's production and not his personal relationship with Samay Raina, which he says remains cordial. No official response has been issued by the show's producers or network.
