Man Kills Family Members With Axe in Jharkhand Over Dispute

Ravindra Prasad Singh, a retired steel company employee, allegedly hacked his wife Sarita Singh, 55, pregnant daughter Supriya Singh, 31, and son Ravishek Kumar, 30, to death with an axe in Jharkhand's Jamshedpur on Monday, according to Senior Superintendent of Police Piyush Pandey. The incident took place at the family's residence in Agrico locality within Sidgora police station limits, following a prolonged family dispute.
The police were informed of the incident and recovered the bodies from the residence, with Additional Superintendent of Police Rishav Trivedi stating that the accused appeared to be pretending to be mentally disturbed and did not cooperate with investigators.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination at MGM Hospital, with police recovering an axe and a hammer from the spot.
The immediate next steps in the case will involve further investigation and potential court proceedings, with the accused likely to face charges related to the murders. The court will likely schedule a hearing to determine the accused's mental state and potential culpability.
