The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2026 examination is under scrutiny after allegations emerged that several questions matched those in a guess paper circulated in Sikar, Rajasthan, a day before the exam. The Rajasthan Special Operations Group (SOG) is conducting a high-level investigation, claiming that nearly 140 questions from the sample paper matched the actual NEET question paper.
According to SOG officials, a sample paper related to the exam was allegedly sold for lakhs of rupees, with the questions appearing in the examination being the same as those in the sample paper.
Additional DGP (SOG) Vishal Bansal stated that investigators found a set of over 400 questions circulated before the exam, with over 100 biology and chemistry questions showing similarities to those asked in NEET.
The SOG has also found that the sample paper was reportedly brought to Sikar from Kerala, suggesting a wider interstate link in the suspected paper leak network. The investigation is ongoing, with officials expected to announce further findings and actions in the coming days. The court or relevant authorities are likely to take up the matter soon, with possible legal action against those involved in the alleged paper leak.
