The clip shows a red‑and‑gold robot, roughly four feet tall, approaching a group of teenagers and grabbing a 16‑year‑old girl, who screams and backs away.
The video was livestreamed on TikTok, amassing more than a million views before police flagged the content for investigation.
During a raid at the fast‑food outlet, officers recovered the robot and two smartphones from the trunk of a Volkswagen. The device, which resembles the Marvel superhero Iron Man, was found in the vehicle's boot.
Chief Inspector Stefan Müller told reporters that investigators are trying to determine who was operating the robot at the time. The 16‑year‑old owner and his 19‑year‑old companion are now under formal investigation, and prosecutors will decide whether to press charges in the coming weeks.
