Nicholas Pooran and Krunal Pandya were involved in a heated on-field exchange during the IPL 2026 clash between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Lucknow on Thursday. The incident took place after Krunal bowled a short delivery to Pooran, who pulled the ball down the ground for a single and then exchanged words with Krunal as he completed the run.
The match was a high-scoring, rain-curtailed encounter that saw Mitchell Marsh produce a sensational century to power LSG to 209/3 in 19 overs. RCB's chase got off to a disastrous start, but captain Rajat Patidar launched a counterattack with a superb 61 off 31 balls.
Despite a brutal 40 off 17 from Tim David, LSG eventually sealed a tense nine-run victory, with Digvesh Singh Rathi holding his nerve at the death.
The incident between Pooran and Krunal Pandya did not escalate immediately, and the two players were later seen smiling and sharing a handshake, with a video showing Pooran playfully grabbing Krunal by the collar during their conversation. The IPL will continue with its scheduled matches, with the next games set to take place on Friday.
