IIT Madras Global Research Foundation has announced the establishment of a deep tech hub in Menlo Park, California, with a total planned investment of $7.5 million, including an initial $4.5 million greenfield investment. The center, launched on April 24, 2026, will support Indian deep tech startups in accessing global markets, venture capital, mentorship, and industry partnerships, according to a press release.The announcement was made at the SelectUSA Investment Summit in the United States. Strategically located near Silicon Valley, the hub will focus on advancing deep tech research and commercialization, serving as an incubation center for startups aiming to scale internationally.IITM Global also disclosed plans to establish a second center on the U.S. East Coast, though details including location, timeline, and funding remain unannounced. The foundation aims to strengthen India's deep tech innovation ecosystem through global linkages.
