Hold on. Meta Platforms’ stock leapt 20% on Tuesday morning after Muse’s launch, adding $200 billion to its market cap and taking the share to its highest close in more than seven months.
Muse, rolled out on September 8, sits on a freemium model with $20 and $100 tiers, and has already pulled 2.8 million downloads in 12 days—more than ChatGPT’s 1.3 million in the same window. J.P. Morgan analyst Rahul Gupta said Muse could become the biggest consumer AI app since ChatGPT.
Jefferies, led by Brent Thill, projects a 1 billion user base by 2027, with a 3% paid conversion yielding $10.8 billion in annualized revenue, and has raised its price target to $875. BofA Global Research highlighted Muse’s multi‑step workflow capability, noting early reviews praise its execution.
The rally also buoyed chip names, with AMD crossing the $1 trillion valuation milestone for the first time, as market watchers see Muse lifting CPU demand. Michael O’Rourke of JonesTrading said Muse could relieve CPU bottlenecks.
Meta hasn’t issued a formal revenue forecast for Muse yet; the beta is expected to mature within 12 months, and analysts are watching for a potential $10.8 billion top line by 2027.
