Emma Stone and her husband Dave McCary listed their seven‑bedroom historic Tarrytown mansion in Austin for $23.5 million in May 2025, but the couple has decided not to move in.
The renovation, which began in 2019, cost an estimated $10 million and saw the restoration of original brickwork, leaded‑glass windows, and a custom oak flooring system.
The 1.24‑acre estate boasts nine full bathrooms, a swimming pool, landscaped gardens, and a library with a built‑in bar, all of which were upgraded with contemporary finishes while preserving the home’s historic character.
Realtor.com reported in October that the property, which briefly entered pending status in August, has not yet closed and is still listed off‑market through a local agent.
Stone and McCary, who had initially planned to relocate from New York, cited the demands of her acting schedule and their children’s schooling as reasons to remain in the city.
The listing remains open for offers, and a potential buyer could be expected to submit a bid before the end of the fiscal year.
