Brisbane 2032’s Olympic logos were leaked three days early, revealing the pink cockatoo emblem ahead of schedule.
The official YouTube account accidentally uploaded an "emblem explainer" video on Friday, showing the full logos in the top‑right corner and a description about the design inspiration.
Brisbane 2032 chief marketing officer Brent Hill said the leak turned into a "positive development" and that the publicity has been incredible.
The Olympic emblem features a pink cockatoo, a symbol of the reef, beaches and hinterland, while the Paralympic emblem shows a sulphur‑crested cockatoo, both embodying the spirit that will carry the Games.
With the official unveiling scheduled for Monday, the committee is riding the wave of unexpected buzz, promising more surprises ahead for fans and sponsors alike.
