Lumax Auto Technologies saw its shares slide 0.53% on NSE to ₹1,807.70 after announcing a 57.5% jump in net profit to ₹105.5 cr, up from ₹67 cr in Q2 FY26.
Revenue grew 34.5% YoY to ₹1,555.5 cr, while EBITDA rose 32.4% to ₹204.7 cr; the margin dipped slightly to 13.2% from 13.4% last year.
The firm plans a ₹150 cr mechatronics plant in Manesar, Haryana, financed through debt and internal accruals, with phased commissioning from Q3 FY28 and projected ₹500 cr annual turnover at full capacity.
Lumax also sold its 50% stake in Lumax Japp Allied Technologies to Japp Holding GmbH, a move that ended the subsidiary status and triggered a ₹7.04 cr impairment write‑off.
MD Anmol Jain said the company benefited from a broader demand across vehicle segments, noting that the GST 2.0 rollout improved affordability, but input cost hikes and rupee depreciation remain watch‑points.
The company has not issued FY27 guidance yet, but analysts expect the new plant to lift margins and the stock to trade near ₹1,850‑₹1,900 as the sector gains momentum.
