Shares of CIE Automotive India dipped 1.77% to ₹363 on Tuesday, trading after the company disclosed Q3 results. The September quarter saw revenue rise 11% YoY to ₹2,633 crore, while net profit climbed 14% to ₹244 crore.
EBITDA edged 5.1% YoY to ₹374 crore, yet the margin contracted to 14.2% from 15%, a touch below analysts’ 14.5% forecast, according to the company’s filing on the NSE.
India sales grew 18% YoY, but margin pressure from West Asia‑linked raw‑material and energy costs trimmed profitability.
European sales remained flat, though margins improved markedly from the year‑ago period, buoyed by restructuring measures last year, the company said.
For the first nine months, revenue jumped 12% to ₹7,642.7 crore, EBITDA rose 15% to ₹1,266.4 crore and the EBITDA margin edged up to 16.6% from 16.3%.
The company expects Q4 to sustain growth; shares are trading 16.37% lower YTD, and the board has approved a merger with CIE Aluminium Casting India pending NCLT clearance.
