Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart (Hridayam), directed by Hardik Gajjar, has earned ₹7.32 crore at the domestic box office over its opening weekend. The film, which was released on May 7, witnessed a decent opening with ₹42 lakh on day 1, followed by ₹1.15 crore on Friday, ₹2.25 crore on Saturday, and ₹3.5 crore on Sunday.
The daily collections and occupancy rates suggest a strong upward trend, with the film benefiting from positive word-of-mouth and weekend footfall. The occupancy rates were 18 percent on Thursday, 15.2 percent on Friday, 27.5 percent on Saturday, and 37.7 percent on Sunday.
The film is the first instalment in the Krishnavataram trilogy and features Siddharth Gupta, Sanskruti Jayana, Sushmitha Bhat, and Nivaashiyni Krishnan in key roles.
