Delhi Police registered an abduction case after three men tried to force a Nagaland woman into a Mercedes at Ashoka Hotel in Chanakyapuri on Sunday at 3:30 a.m. The police seized the car and confiscated phones, while investigators are reviewing CCTV footage and medical reports.
The three men, reportedly traveling in a white Mercedes with no number plate, approached a group of five women who had just left the hotel’s washroom.
Witnesses say the men grabbed the woman and attempted to pull her into the vehicle; when a doctor friend intervened, the attackers struck him with a hockey stick and an iron rod, leaving him injured.
Police arrived at the scene around 3:45 a.m., seized the vehicle and confiscated the men’s phones, and have begun reviewing CCTV footage from the hotel and surrounding area.
Medical reports from RML Hospital confirm injuries to the victim and the friend, and investigators are assessing the extent of the assault while a formal FIR will be filed later in the day.
