Former West Bengal minister and Trinamool Congress leader Sujit Bose appeared before the Enforcement Directorate in Kolkata on Monday, May 11, 2026, in connection with the alleged recruitment scam at the South Dum Dum Municipality. He arrived at the ED office in the CGO Complex, Salt Lake, around 10:30 a.m., accompanied by his son Samudra Bose, officials said.
The ED has been investigating allegations of irregular appointments in the municipality, and Bose has been questioned multiple times. He previously appeared before the agency on May 1, 2026, after seeking exemption from earlier summons during the state assembly election period, including one issued on April 6 when nomination papers were filed.
The central agency conducted two searches at premises linked to Sujit Bose and his son as part of the investigation. Investigators said they recovered incriminating documents during the searches, though details were not disclosed.
The ED continues its probe into the alleged scam, with further questioning of accused individuals expected in the coming days.
