Raymond Ltd’s shares ended at ₹1,079.10 on the BSE, a rise of ₹26.95, or 2.56%, after the company disclosed Q2 results that saw net profit jump to ₹32 crore from ₹13.9 crore a year earlier— a 132% increase that eclipses the 24.1% revenue rise to ₹655 crore.
EBITDA climbed 74.4% YoY to ₹75 crore, pushing the margin to 11.5% from 8.14% in the same quarter last year. The company’s net‑cash surplus of ₹77 crore and net‑debt‑free status were highlighted by Chairman Gautam Hari Singhania as evidence of a solid balance sheet.
The aerospace & defence arm drove the up‑turn, with revenue hitting ₹139 crore, a 72% YoY gain over ₹81 crore, and EBITDA rising 72% to ₹29 crore. Singhana noted that expanded production for Tier‑1 OEMs and a greenfield capacity build in Andhra Pradesh underpin the segment’s momentum.
Precision technology and auto components added ₹471 crore, up 15% YoY, and an EBITDA of ₹61 crore, a 39% rise on a like‑for‑like basis. The segment’s 13% margin reflects higher volumes and cost optimisation. Raymond did not provide explicit Q3 guidance, but it reiterated its capacity expansion and global outreach plans, signalling confidence in sustaining its recent performance.
