Shares of Transrail Lighting surged 4% after the company announced new orders worth ₹408 crore, pushing its 2026 order intake to ₹2,429 crore. The stock is trading 3.5% higher at 2:15 pm, having risen above its 52‑week low by 19% and still 37% below the peak, all while listed on BSE/NSE.
The bulk of the new revenue comes from a GIS substation EPC project in the Middle East and North Africa, plus a handful of domestic contracts. Managing Director Randeep Narang said the firm added ₹1,394 crore in orders over the last fortnight, bringing the year‑to‑date inflow to ₹2,429 crore.
Transrail is chasing a 10–15% slice of the high‑tension low‑sag reconductoring market, projected to hit ₹3,500–4,000 crore over the next six months. The company’s 17% month‑to‑month rally puts it well ahead of many peers in the lighting and power‑equipment sector.
No forward guidance has been issued yet, but the company’s stated goal of a 10–15% market share signals a continued push for growth. Investors will be watching the upcoming earnings window for any update on profitability and margin expansion.
