West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari to Chair First Cabinet Meeting on May 11

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari will hold his first cabinet meeting on Monday, May 11, 2026, at Nabanna, the administrative headquarters of the state. The meeting will allocate portfolios to five ministers who took the oath with the Chief Minister on Saturday, May 9.
The cabinet is likely to establish inquiry commissions into atrocities against women during the Trinamool Congress regime.
On Monday, Adhikari will also hold three administrative meetings in Nabanna, where he will meet top officials of the state administration, District Magistrates, and top officials of the State police.
According to sources, the meeting will be attended by the Director General of West Bengal police, the Commissioner of Police of Kolkata, and other high-ranking officials of various zones in the state.
The court will not be involved in this meeting, however, the Chief Minister's Office has announced that the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms has issued a notification ordering the transfer of 10 bureaucrats, with nine being moved to the Chief Minister’s Office. The Chief Minister will resume his administrative meetings on Tuesday, with a focus on rebuilding West Bengal.
