Actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Rakul Preet Singh, along with the team of Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, visited Gir National Park for a jungle safari ahead of their film's release, but a video of Rakul Preet Singh walking near a safari vehicle sparked speculation about whether wildlife regulations had been violated.
The video showed the actress walking near a safari vehicle, prompting internet users to question whether she had breached rules by stepping out of her vehicle inside a protected forest zone.
Officials from Gir National Park issued a clarification, stating that the incident did not occur within the restricted sanctuary area, but rather outside the entry point of the Sasan Sanctuary.
The park authorities explained that the standard protocol inside the sanctuary prohibits visitors from stepping out of their safari vehicles, but that Rakul Preet Singh had not entered the protected zone due to a medical issue.
The film Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, and Wamiqa Gabbi, is set to release in cinemas on May 15.
The court or relevant authorities are yet to take any further action, but the park officials' clarification has addressed the immediate concerns raised by the viral video, and the matter is considered resolved for now.
