The Annamayya district administration has initiated a major effort to transform Horsley Hills, with Joint Collector Shiv Narayan Sharma instructing district heads to expedite pending works and ensure their completion on time. During a review meeting on Saturday, officials from various departments, including Tourism, Electricity, and Roads and Buildings, discussed upgrading roads, parks, and public facilities.
The meeting focused on improving cleanliness, particularly in the crowded Gali Banda area, by installing additional dustbins and signboards to discourage plastic waste. Joint Collector Shiv Narayan Sharma emphasized the importance of eco-friendly measures in improving visitor facilities.
The upgrade aims to enhance the visitor experience at Horsley Hills, which attracts large numbers of tourists due to its pleasant climate and greenery.
The district administration will continue to work on the facility upgrade, with officials collaborating to ensure the completion of the project before the next tourist season. The administration's efforts are expected to contribute to the growth of tourism in the region while preserving the natural surroundings of the hill station.
