GEMS Hospital Receives Royal College of Surgeons of England Accreditation
The Great Eastern Medical School and Hospital in Srikakulam has received accreditation from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, according to the hospital's chief patron B. Bhaskara Rao. The accreditation permits the hospital to offer training for surgeons from May 5 to 8 on "Care of the Critically III Surgical Patient".
The joint training program with the Royal College will enable surgeons to learn about the latest technologies and the impact of artificial intelligence in medicine, as well as exchange knowledge with senior doctors from both countries.
Dr. Bhaskara Rao thanked Aditya Educational Society vice chairman P. Rahu Ram for his role in securing the accreditation, noting that GEMS is the first hospital in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to receive such recognition.
The hospital will host the training program on its premises, with the accreditation marking a significant development in medical education and training in the region.
The training program is set to begin on May 5, with the hospital and the Royal College expected to make further announcements on the program's details and outcomes.
