Oswal Pumps (OSWALP) shares slipped to ₹201.10 on Friday, marking a 4.2% intraday fall and a fresh 52‑week low after a late‑afternoon rally that had lifted them to ₹205 earlier.
The dip followed a regulatory filing that revealed the company secured a ₹235.92 crore order from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) to design, manufacture and install 10,000 off‑grid solar photovoltaic water pumping systems across the state within 60 days.
Vivek Gupta, chairman and managing director, said the repeat contract reaffirmed Oswal’s long‑standing partnership with MSEDCL and underscored Maharashtra as a key market.
Despite the order, the shares traded 3.26% lower at ₹203.00 as of 1:16 pm, reflecting a cumulative 61% decline YTD and a 72% drop over the last 12 months, a trend that mirrors the broader decline in the water pumping and solar infrastructure sector.
Analysts note that without earnings guidance, the stock remains vulnerable to short‑term volatility; investors will be watching the next earnings announcement on Q4 for any indications of margin recovery or new pipeline growth.
