The board of directors of Prestige Hospitality Ventures Ltd (PHVL) formally rescinded the Draft Red Herring Prospectus filed on April 24, 2025, and announced the withdrawal on September 25, 2026.
The DRHP was lodged with SEBI, the National Stock Exchange and BSE, and the lead managers were notified via a letter from PHVL, which also informed SEBI of the cancellation.
Market sentiment turned cautious, with the Nifty 50 dipping 0.3% that day and several high‑profile IPOs, including those of tech and pharma firms, being postponed.
Analyst Rajesh Kumar of Edelweiss Securities noted that the real‑estate sector has seen a 9% decline in IPO volumes since March, and PHVL’s decision aligns with a broader trend of delayed listings.
PHVL has signalled that it may file a fresh DRHP once market conditions improve, targeting an IPO launch before the end of 2027, per the board’s statement.
Investors are watching closely as the company’s parent, Prestige Estates Projects Ltd, continues to launch large‑scale projects, including a ₹1,750 crore residential development in Bangalore, which could influence PHVL’s future valuation.
