Udta Teer’s Day 6 Drop: Ayushmann, Sara Ali Khan’s Spy Flick Falls Below ₹3 Crore

Wednesday’s numbers show Udta Teer settling into a slump, with occupancy slipping to 12% across 5,781 shows.

The spy‑comedy, which opened on Oct 23 with a solid ₹4.10 crore, surged to ₹7.25 crore on Saturday and ₹8.20 crore on Sunday—leaving a domestic net of ₹19.55 crore after the first three days.

Despite the decline, Udta Teer has already raked in ₹8.50 crore overseas, boosting its worldwide gross to ₹42.68 crore after six days, while the domestic gross sits at ₹34.18 crore.

Behind the curtain, director Aakash Kaushik has tried to balance slick spy gadgets with the kind of off‑beat humor that makes Ayushmann Khurrana a favourite in rom‑coms. With the backing of Karan Johar, Guneet Monga and Adar Poonawalla, the film also carries the weight of being the last screen outing of the late Mukul Dev.

Critics note the chemistry between Ayushmann and Sara, but the film’s mid‑week slump raises questions about its staying power. The next week will test whether the movie can bounce back or if the dip seals its fate.
