Infosys shares finished 0.3% higher at ₹1,163 on the NSE after the company disclosed the completion of a SAP S/4HANA implementation for Syngenta’s Crop Protection business. The lift was modest, reflecting a cautious market stance on digital‑services work.
The project, dubbed Crop Protection Core, brought together more than 10,000 employees across 80 countries onto a single ERP platform. Infosys highlighted that the move will streamline research, manufacturing, supply‑chain, finance and commercial functions under one digital foundation.
Syngenta, which employs over 30,000 people in roughly 90 countries, said the new platform will enable faster decision‑making for farmers worldwide. Chief information officer Feroz Sheikh praised the simplification of processes and the enhanced data visibility.
Despite the announcement, the stock still sits 29% below its 2026 peak, a 23% drop over the past year. Investors are watching for how the new digital core will translate into revenue growth for Infosys’ consulting arm.
The company will release Q3 earnings on November 15, with analysts expecting a focus on digital‑services revenue. No explicit guidance has been issued yet, but the market is keen to see whether the Syngenta partnership will boost Infosys’ top‑line in the coming quarters.
