Twenty-two officer cadets of the Technical Entry Scheme (TES-47) course were awarded medals and distinctions for outstanding performance in academics, sports, physical training, outdoor activities, weapon handling, and drill at the Cadets Training Wing of the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME), Secunderabad, on Friday. Lieutenant General Neeraj Varshney, Commandant of MCEME and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of EME, presided over the award ceremony and presented the honors.
The cadets, who have completed four years of rigorous training, were recognized for their development into confident and capable leaders ready for independent command roles. Lt. Gen. Varshney emphasized the importance of sustained hard work, delayed gratification, and adaptability to meet the demands of modern, technology-driven warfare.
The Commandant referenced lessons from Operation Sindoor to underscore the evolving nature of battlefield challenges. The cadets are set to be commissioned into the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers as part of their career progression.
