Jio Platforms’ earnings press release on Monday showed net profit at ₹30,049 crore, a 15% jump from ₹26,090 crore in FY25, and a revenue of ₹1.46 lakh crore, up 14.6% year‑on‑year.
The company’s EBITDA margin rose to 51.9%, reflecting tighter cost management amid a 1.46 lakh crore top line that outpaced the telecom sector’s 1.1 lakh crore average growth rate.
Customer data underscores the scale: 533 million active users, with 284.9 million on 5G, capturing roughly 60% of India’s wireless data traffic and covering 99% of the population via its broadband network.
Monetization avenues remain wide. A residual 261 million users still on 2G present a migration opportunity, while expanding fixed‑broadband and cross‑selling of cloud, enterprise and entertainment services aim to lift ARPU.
The IPO proceeds, priced at ₹1,119, are earmarked to extinguish ₹27,500 crore of debt at Reliance Jio Infocomm, moving the unit toward a net‑debt‑free status and supporting a valuation of ₹10.3 lakh crore, about 34.3 times FY26 earnings.
Looking ahead, Jio Platforms is expected to maintain its growth trajectory, targeting further ARPU gains and a debt‑free balance sheet by June 2027, with next earnings slated for September 2026.
