Royal Enfield to Invest ₹2,200 Crore in Andhra Pradesh, First Plant Outside Tamil Nadu

Royal Enfield announced on 6 May 2026 that it will invest about ₹2,200 crore to build a new motorcycle plant in Satyavedu, Tirupati district, Andhra Pradesh, marking the company’s first major expansion outside Tamil Nadu.
The 267‑acre site, split between Vanelluru (233.76 acres) and Rallakuppam (42.38 acres), will add roughly 900,000 units to Royal Enfield’s production capacity and is projected to create around 5,000 direct and indirect jobs.
The Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board, chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, approved the project during a meeting earlier this week. The facility will include a vendor park in the first phase to attract suppliers and foster an automotive cluster. Phase one is targeted for completion by 2029, with phase two slated for 2032.
The state government and industry officials said the investment underscores Andhra Pradesh’s growing appeal as a manufacturing hub and will strengthen India’s position in global premium motorcycle production. The plant is expected to begin operations in 2029, with full capacity achieved by 2032.
