KPIT Technologies shares rose 5% to ₹551, the biggest gain in a year when the stock has slumped 52%.
For September, EBIT climbed 4.2% sequentially to ₹197 crore, while the EBIT margin widened 35 basis points to 11.65% from 11.30% a quarter earlier.
Net profit rose 4.3% sequentially to ₹121 crore, but the quarter was hit by a ₹17.1 crore forex loss, higher than the ₹16.3 crore loss earlier. Qorix joint‑venture loss stood at ₹15.6 crore, up from ₹14 crore in June, driven by revenue delays.
Co‑Founder and Joint MD Sachin Tikekar said the margin expansion is powered by operational efficiency and a more profitable revenue mix, and that the company is on track for further expansion. He added that forex and JV losses should narrow in the ongoing quarter.
The company also highlighted a 13% YoY decline in its top two accounts, offset by growth across off‑highway, truck and passenger vehicle segments; Tikekar expects the dip to bottom out over the next few quarters. He noted a growing pipeline in the US and India.
With forex and JV losses projected to recede and margin expansion on the horizon, the share price has rebounded to ₹551, giving investors a fresh valuation backdrop ahead of next quarter’s earnings.
