Blue Dart Express shares closed 0.066% higher at ₹4,560 on the NSE on October 9, up from ₹4,549.97 at the close on September 28. The modest lift comes amid steady trading volume, with 1.2 million shares traded in the session.
The rally follows the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Blue Dart Express and India Post, aimed at expanding delivery reach into Tier III and IV towns across India. Harpreet Singh, Member of the Department of Posts, said the department will provide full support to strengthen the collaboration.
Balfour Manuel, Managing Director of Blue Dart, highlighted that the partnership will integrate Blue Dart’s express network with India Post’s 1.4 lakh post offices, potentially adding 40% more last‑mile touchpoints. He added that the move could lift revenue per delivery and improve operating margins.
Analysts at Bloomberg had forecasted a 0.05% uptick in the stock on the day of the announcement. The partnership may boost Blue Dart’s FY25 revenue by an estimated ₹200 crore, though the company has yet to disclose detailed projections. Investors will watch the Q1 earnings for signs of revenue lift.
Blue Dart plans a phased rollout across 500+ towns over the next 12 months. The company will report Q1 results on December 15, with guidance expected to come thereafter. Market participants are keen to see how the expanded network translates into incremental revenue and margin improvement.
