India’s embassy in Riyadh on Tuesday urged all Indian nationals in Saudi Arabia to stay indoors and remain vigilant amid escalating Houthi attacks.
The advisory follows the October 10 drone and missile strike on King Khalid International Airport that killed an Indian citizen and injured several others.
Embassy officials warned against sharing videos or news about the incidents and advised citizens to keep in touch with airlines for flight status.
Indian carriers have suspended flights to Saudi Arabia, and the embassy offered alternative routes via Qatar and Bahrain, noting visa requirements for transit.
A 24‑hour control room has been activated to assist Indians, with contact numbers and WhatsApp details provided in the notice.
The consulate in Jeddah issued a similar notice for Umrah pilgrims, urging them to use the control room for assistance.
