Coldwell Banker Realty announced the sale of the 9,395‑sq‑ft Bel‑Air property, once home to basketball legend Wilt Chamberlain, to cryptocurrency entrepreneur Erik Voorhees for $9.675 million.
Novikov, who acquired the estate in 2008 for $6.55 million, spent five years upgrading the house, adding five bedrooms, a chef’s kitchen, a media lounge, and a gym, while stripping iconic elements such as the mirrored ceiling and indoor pool.
The property first surfaced on the market in 2017 with a $18.99 million asking price, but after repeated relists and price reductions to $14.9 million in 2020 and $11.99 million in 2022, it finally closed at $9.675 million.
A nearby family who had rented a unit in the estate’s former pool area said the renovation had turned the space into a private gym, a welcome change after years of unused rooms.
With the sale closed, Voorhees plans to use the property as a personal retreat, while Coldwell Banker continues to list other high‑end Los Angeles homes in anticipation of further market adjustments.
