Actor Tiger Shroff was struck by seven bullets fired from a bike as he left a Juhu playground on Sunday, Oct 18, 2023 – the attack left his driver and a bystander wounded.
The motive, according to a gang member who confessed to investigators, was a vendetta sparked when Shroff publicly praised Salman Khan as the only ‘tiger’ in Bollywood during a 2022 promotion; the gang has a long‑standing feud with Khan dating back to 1999.
Police traced the shooters’ escape route by following a single VoIP call the day after the shooting; the call led a cab driver from Mumbai’s Borivali to Surat, where the gang later boarded a train to Jaipur, culminating in their apprehension at Kota station.
Two women linked to the supply of weapons were also arrested, and Mumbai Crime Branch recovered two firearms and ten live cartridges in Surat.
Tiger Shroff, visibly shaken, has not yet given a formal statement; authorities plan to record his testimony soon while continuing to identify the individual feeding the gang real‑time police updates.
