Cyriac Thomas of the United Democratic Front (UDF) has won the Peerumade Assembly constituency in Kerala by a record margin of 27,634 votes, securing 66,972 votes or 56.8% of the total polled. The incumbent Left Democratic Front (LDF) candidate, K. Salimkumar of the CPI, received 42,038 votes, while the NDA's Ratheesh Varakumala secured 9,218, in an election that saw 1,22,652 votes cast.
