Senior Civil Judge and Member Secretary of the Koppal District Legal Services Authority Mahantesh S. Daragada said the National Lok Adalat will be held across Koppal district on July 11 under the guidance of Principal District and Sessions Judge and DLSA Chairman Chandrashekhar C. The litigant public can get various categories of cases settled amicably during the Lok Adalat, including civil suits, land acquisition cases, and motor accident compensation claims.
The settlement through Lok Adalat ensures a mutually acceptable resolution and enables the litigant public to get a full refund of court fees paid in the cases.
Mr. Daragada also announced that the Supreme Court of India will organise a special Lok Adalat titled “Samadhana Samaroh” for three days on August 21, 22 and 23 to facilitate settlement of pending cases before the Supreme Court through mediation and conciliation.
The court will identify cases for settlement under the initiative, and interested litigant public with pending cases before the Supreme Court can register for settlement through the special Lok Adalat by approaching legal services authorities at the taluk, district or State levels. The next step is for the litigant public to utilise the opportunity to secure speedy disposal of cases, with the court staff and DLSA officials available to provide assistance.
