Uday Revankar, honorary secretary of the Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Hubballi, urged management students to generate innovative ideas to boost the unorganised sector during the inauguration of the two-day management fest 'AD-MANIA 2K26' at Bright Business School on Friday, May 8, 2026. He described the unorganised sector as the spine of the Indian economy and emphasized the need for youth-driven solutions.
Revankar highlighted the importance of branding and advertising, stating that while a product speaks to customers, a brand communicates with the entire market. He cited the Indian government's allocation of ₹250 crore in the 2026 Budget for the orange economy—specifically the AVGC sector (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics)—as a strategic move to support creative industries and generate employment.
Nataraj, head of LG Electronics for North Karnataka and Goa, urged students to harness creativity to build strong brands. Basavaraj Lingshetter, secretary of Bright Education Trust, stressed that production alone no longer guarantees success—effective marketing is now essential. Prasad Roodagi, director of Bright Business School, said the fest aims to expose students to real-world advertising and media dynamics.
Around 20 colleges from North Karnataka are participating in the event. The fest includes competitions and sessions focused on marketing, branding, and innovation in the creative sector.
The management fest will conclude on Saturday with award ceremonies and closing remarks from industry representatives.
