Karnataka Minister Launches Construction of 110 kV Power Station in Belagavi

Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar launched the construction of a 110 kV power station at Sahyadri Nagar in Belagavi on May 9. The minister stated that she had initiated steps to build the 110 kV station to improve the conditions in her constituency, which consists of 90% rural areas and 10% urban areas.

The new power station is expected to improve power supply to the area, which was previously served by a 33 kV station.

The ground-breaking ceremony was attended by MLC Channaraj Hattiholi, HESCOM Superintendent Engineer Krishnappa, and other community leaders.

The minister's initiative is seen as a step towards improving the infrastructure in the area, with a focus on meeting the needs of the constituency for the next 25 years. The next steps in the construction process are expected to be announced soon, with officials working to complete the project in a timely manner.
